JOE Bischler, resilience and emergency management officer at Cornwall Council, addressed the annual parish meeting of Camelford Town Council on Thursday, March 7 to congratulate the people behind the town’s community emergency plan for bringing it to fruition.
He said: “Camelford now has an emergency plan, which is fantastic news and is one of the best emergency plans we’ve seen. A huge thanks to Bronwen Hockerday for working hard to get Camelford the emergency plan. Hopefully you won’t need to use it, but if you do then you have got it, so well done!”
The emergency plan now has a set regime in place for emergency situations, such as the dangerous conditions during the snow that Cornwall experienced in early February.
