CAMELFORD Leisure Centre has received a grant of £10,000, enabling them to improve their facilities.

The money has been received from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All scheme, and will enable the leisure centre to replace two sewage pumps and refurbish some of the pool pumps.

Manager of the leisure centre, Peter Hamilton-Toohey, told the Post: “It’s obviously very good for us; we would have never have been able to afford it without this money, so it has come at a very important time. With all the breakdowns, we would have struggled to fund the work ourselves.”

The money for the work to be completed will ensure the pool water is clean and to a high quality.
