RESIDENTS in Camelford can withdraw cash again without charge round the clock, now there is a new ‘hole in the wall’ in the town.
The Post previously reported on the closure of the town’s three banks — Camelford’s branches of Barclays, Lloyds and NatWest all closed last year.
This meant the town was left without a free cash machine — although the Post Office, which offers banking services, was accessible during normal opening hours.
Co-operative Food subsequently applied for planning permission to site an ATM at its branch in the town’s High Street, which was granted last year.

Town mayor Cllr Rob Rotchell said: “Camelford is a resilient town but the departure of the banks was a blow. But thanks to the Co-op some of those problems have been resolved.
“Camelford is open for business!”
