THE Wilsey Down Hotel in Hallworthy held a race night recently in aid of Heartswell, with a lot of money being raised for the foundation.

Before the racing started there was a presentation of a cheque in the sum of £5,000 from the Camelford branch of Heartswell, which had been raised in the area, to Heartswell Southwest.

This wonderful sum of money is going towards the provision of an AutoPulse device for the Royal Cornwall Hospital Truro in the cardiac unit. The device costs just over £10,000.

This is the first time that Heartswell have provided a major piece of equipment to the hospital.

The AutoPulse devise is going to speed up treatment for heart patients at Truro.
