An extremely successful and enjoyable afternoon took place in the Camelford Hall on Sunday. It was organised by the committee of the Camelford branch of HeartSWell, to

celebrate raising over £100,000 for the charity since 1992 and to say thank you to their supporters. Special guests included Dr Guy Haywood (President of HeartSWell), Mr Jonathan  Unsworth-White and Dr Mark Bennett, surgeons and doctors from the Cardiothoracic Department of Derriford

Hospital, Plymouth, and Dr A Nash, Camelford GP. Also attending were Bob Ireland (Deputy Mayor of Camelford) and Mrs Ireland, Clem Spencer (chairman of HeartSWell, Plymouth), Allen Caston and Rachel Rainbird (secretary). Committee members and friends served a delicious free cream tea to all those attending. Chairman, Sid Goodman expressed sincere thanks to everyone who

continually support the events organised by the committee. A commemorative plaque was presented to the chairman by Clem Spencer as an appreciation to the Camelford committee and supporters for raising such a magnificent total. This will be hung in Camelford Hall. During the event, the

committee presented a cheque for £10,000 to swell the charity funds.
