COMMUNITY matron for Camelford Angela Westbury has been presented with a 'Queen's Nurse Award', in recognition of her contribution to healthcare.
She received the accolade in time for 'International Nurses' Day', which was celebrated with colleagues from Peninsula Community Health (PCH) — the social enterprise for adult community health NHS?services.
Following a rigorous process, Angela was awarded the title from the Queen's Nursing Institute. The title is open to individual nurses who want to demonstrate their commitment to patient-centred values and continually improving practice — standards which are celebrated as part of International Nurses Day, a global celebration of nursing and nurses held every year on the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth.
