There are now colour-coded parking areas in Camelford's Churchfield Car Park. The re-lining of the car park was carried out at the end of April and the town council is now looking at installing new permanent signs. There are now four separate areas of the car park: red area — for short-stay and for vehicles parking for under two hours; blue area — long stay, from two to 24 hours; yellow area — for disabled badge holders and a white area — for patients of the medical centre. It is hoped that the colour coding will help provide parking for those working in the town, while freeing up spaces closer for shoppers. At their annual meeting last month, councillors discussed installing signs to make people aware of the new colour-coded areas. Clerk to the council Lee Dunkley said he had received quotes in the region of £120 for a sign at the front of the car park. Councillors voted in favour of having a site meeting to discuss the signs further.
