Friday, April 3 was another special evening for everyone who attends the regular Camelford bingos at the St John Ambulance Hall. A bingo evening was held to raise funds for the Mermaid Centre at Treliske Hospital, Truro, and also to donate two cheques — £2,500 to the Cornwall Air Ambulance and £300 to Camelford Rugby Club. The organisers, Joan and Roy Starling expressed their thanks to all the bingo players for their support in raising funds for local worthy causes throughout the year. Camelford RFC has taken off at a great pace and games are played most weekends. Players are still urgently needed so if there any front row players who would like to join, please contant Ray Cole on 07831 606683.
