THOUSANDS of people in North Cornwall, Torridge and West Devon paid tribute at combined Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day services to those who have given their lives for their country in all conflicts. Red poppies — both the symbol of sacrifice and a sign that we must care for those affected by war and the families of those who gave their lives — abounded, as the 'Last Post' reverberated through towns, villages and hamlets.
The sun shone over 200 attendees at Camelford Remembrance Service.
They assembled with their standards at Bowood Park Golf Club before parading to Lanteglos Church under the control of Mr. David Goodman.
Thirty-two wreaths were laid, many by young members of national organisations and schools, who did a splendid job.
