LADIES at Trethorne Golf Club have raised over £2,200 for charity Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) after releasing a limited edition 'naked' calendar. 2011 captain Linda Brewer originally held a coffee morning for her designated charity, raising £250 in the process, but decided she wanted to collect more money and provide more fun in the process. Linda and Charlie Edmunds got together to try and think of other ways to make to bring donations in, and after considering a wealth of options, decided that a calendar with a golf theme would be profitable — especially as golf is generally considered a game dominated by men, and if the girls 'got their kits off', it would probably sell well. They then asked a number of girls at the club and friends if they were prepared to undress for the photo shoot, nine of which said they'd be happy to.
