TREGADILLETT and District Age Concern raised over £300 towards the upkeep of the group at their latest fundraising event at the village community centre on Saturday, June 10.
Despite a smaller turnout than normal due to the event being held on the same day as the Royal Cornwall Show, the usual sale of bric-a-brac, cakes, sweets, scones and bacon butties were on offer, plus a raffle.
Starting at 2pm and finishing at 5pm, everyone tucked into the food while many bought something.
In the end, £342.65 was raised, with the cake stall being particularly popular as it brought in over £100.
Chairperson, Kate Knights, said: “Thank you to all those that donated items, the ladies who made the cakes and to everyone who either helped or attended.”
