TEAMS of Cadets from the Holsworthy Detachment of Devon Army Cadet Force (ACF) have been busy supporting community events during the summer holidays.

The young people volunteered to assist at the Holsworthy Show, Battle of Britain Parade in Kilkhampton and with the licensing of new Holsworthy Rector, Father Christopher Penn.

Detachment Commander Serjeant Major Jim Harvey said: "Encouraging cadets to become involved in their local community is an important aspect of ACF citizenship training which promotes personal development in young people. I am very pleased with the enthusiasm shown by our members."

Holsworthy ACF is now recruiting and is open to young people from 12 years of age.
