A BUTCHER forced to close his shop on the Ross-on-Wye High Street in January of this year after 33 years of trading in the town, has been given an opportunity to continue his trade.
The name and reputation of Callwood Butchers has been unexpectedly saved by local retailer, Labels, who have invited Chris Callwood to join them as their own farm shop butcher.
"We are absolutely delighted to be able to be working with Chris Callwood and to see the name of Callwood Butchers continue locally," said Hannah Furnell, one of the directors at Labels Shopping.
"The farm shop at Labels is already a showcase for lots of local producers and Chris' range of meat will complement them perfectly."
