BUSINESS people in Bude put their questions to North Cornwall's prospective parliamentary candidates last week.

The 'hustings' style event held at the Falcon Hotel last Friday saw 'constructive' discussion between the 50 to 60 people gathered and the area's Liberal Democrat MP Dan Rogerson and PPCS, UKIP Julie Lingard, Conservative Scott Mann and Green Party Amanda Pennington.

Ian Mason, secretary of Bude's Chamber of Commerce, who organised the Chamber event, said: "There was very constructive discussion I thought."

He said there was discussion on quite a 'wide range' of issues: "From the need to attract major businesses and high value jobs into the local economy right through to the amount of plastic litter being washed up onto local beaches."
