TWO businesses in the Post area have been shortlisted for the 2017 British Farming Awards.
After a hugely successful event in 2016, which saw the awards take part in the BBC series The Farmers’ Country Showdown, more than 300 farmers and industry professionals entered and nominated to take part in this year’s event.
These include Fionagh and Richard Harding, of Norton Barton Artisan Food Village, Launcells, who are shortlisted in the ‘Diversification Innovator of the Year (Large)’ category, and The Symons Family of Trevathan Farm, near Port Isaac, shortlisted for Family Farming Business of the Year.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony taking place on Thursday, October 19 at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham, supported by Morrisons.
