IT was a happy Valentine’s Day for some bargain shoppers in Holsworthy as Bargain Buys opened the doors to its new store in the town’s Square on February 14.

The official ribbon cutting was carried out by the town’s mayor Cllr Jon Hutchings.

The new store is located in a central location on the Square in the former Original Factory Shop building.

Holsworthy is the 52nd Bargain Buys to open creating 20 jobs for local people (part and full time), many of whom were previously employed by the former Original Factory Shops.

To kick-start the official opening, Bargain Buys had more than £3,000 worth of giveaways with its ‘Store Opening Day Only Specials’ event.

The first customers in line for the store opening received a number of special offers.

Bargain Buys celebrated further with an action-packed ‘Fun Day’, offering activities, an entertainer, balloons galore, and game shows with prize giveaways on offer.

Speaking before the event, executive chairman, Nadir Lalani, said: “We are pleased to be opening a brand new store to the people of Holsworthy with loads of fantastic branded products, all at bargain prices, and look forward to opening even more new stores throughout 2019, creating over 750 jobs.

“The team is working hard to deliver an outstanding shopping experience, great service, and an enjoyable shopping environment for all our new customers.”
