CAMELFORD Town Councillors were updated on the recent Camelford Business Alliance meeting recently.

Cllr Ayla Ackroyd-Johnson updated her peers at the meeting of Camelford Town Council on Thursday, September 5, following the most recent meeting of the newly established Camelford Business Alliance.

Cllr Ackroyd-Johnson explained that she has attended all three of the alliance’s meetings, which are led by Kevin Parcel of The Countryman Hotel and Bill LeGrys of LeGrys Bespoke.

“At the first meeting there was eleven businesses that came along, at the second there was about five more new businesses and at the third meeting there was a few more, so overall about 20 businesses have come along.

“It’s quite positive and they all want to be able to network and help each other. There have been a couple of comments about the bypass and the car park (Churchfield car park), but aside from that it has been positive.

“They are now looking at creating a ‘Love Camelford’ website which will come up with all the positive things about the town, not the negatives.”
