THE Westgate Street bus stop in Launceston has become the latest location in the town to be transformed, as a wave of street art sweeps over the town!

Local artists Nev Akroyd and Dorian Weeks headed up the project over four days, and were ably assisted by a number of local people including Richard Probert, Barbi Akroyd, James Campbell and Ashley Crapp who were on hand at various times over the weekend to offer assistance where required.

The bus stop has been painted to resemble the inside of a bus, with the view from the 'windows' Launceston Castle proudly flying the flag of St Piran.

The piece incorporates a mixture of styles from the artists involved in its creation; the view from the windows being competed in a detailed, brush painted landscape style whilst the interior of the bus maintains a more 'cartoony' style about it.
