FOLLOWING the announcement of cuts in bus services from Cornwall's two main operators, Western Greyhound and First, Cornwall Council has published details of a number of forthcoming changes from November 3.

The revisions see replacements services for the Bude to Morwenstow 530 and the Camelford to Bodmin 561.

Stagecoach South-West Ltd will be running a revised 219 bus service for Bude and Morwenstow. Webber's Coaches will be operating during off peak hours between Camelford and Bodmin.

The announcement of the withdrawal of services last month was the result of commercial decisions by the operators on less popular services, combined with pressures on the council's public transport budget.

Some decisions affected entire routes while others saw reductions in the frequency of journeys. Since then, the council has held discussions with public transport providers to fill in the gaps in provision where possible.
