FOREST police have charged a man from mid Wales in connection with four burglaries in the area.

The charges relate to break-ins at homes in School Crescent in Lydney, Parkend and Netherend as well as Lydney Rugby Club between February and April.

Items taken in the house burglaries included televisions, jewellery, a vacuum cleaner and a combined total of more than £100.

Cash was also taken from the rugby club.

Samuel Thomas Davis, aged 22 and of Bwlch-y-Sarnu, Rhayader, will appear at Gloucester Crown Court on Wednesday, June 3 to face three charges of dwelling burglary and one charge of burglary.
