HANNAH Lavell, a 20-year-old resident of Burdon Grange Care Home in Highampton, has been nominated to be an Olympic torch bearer for the 2012 Olympics.

Hannah has got through the first two stages and will know if she is to be given the honour of being one of the torch bearers in early December.

The Olympic Committee has informed Hannah that she has a fourteen to one chance of carrying the Olympic flame.

Hannah came to live at Burdon Grange, a Care Home for young physically disabled people two-and-a-half years ago, a week after her 18th birthday (the care home is registered for people aged 18-years-old or above).
