A LOVING home is urgently sought for Zen, an American Bulldog, who was abandoned at a Launceston kennels just days before Christmas.
Eddie Watson, who helps out with his wife Anna at Leburnick Kennels, told the 'Post' that Zen was taken into the kennels by her owners, who said they had a 'family crisis' and would pick her up in three days.
Three days passed, but the owners didn't return for Zen. It has now been over three weeks since she was dropped off at the kennels, and staff are now hoping they can find her a new home, or else she may have to be put to sleep.
Zen is a three year old American Bulldog, white and brindle in colour, and has a 'lovely temperament.' She doesn't bark and appears to be good with children and other dogs.
Eddie explained that he has offered to pay for her feed and lodgings in the short term, but added: "The ideal thing would be to get her into a good home. I'm very upset about this treatment and quite concerned."
