This album, released on July 27, is Aidan’s first since ‘Themes For Film, Television and Radio’ in 2012 and is his first proper rock album since 2008.
Over the years, Aidan has produced many experimental works. However, this time in a break with tradition he has produced a contemporary rock album.
The album consists of seven tracks written around Cornwall and opens with Bude Cornwall, beginning with the wind howling across Efford Down, waves crashing over the Breakwater and the bells of St Michael’s church. The rest of the album is a collection of upbeat original foot tapping songs, including Train for Evermore and Breakwater.
The album cover is designed to look like a Cornish postcard with four of Aidan’s photographs of beautiful places around Cornwall, including a stunning sunset on Bude Canal.
On the CD there is an added bonus of a second album Themes for Multimedia, which is a collection of Aidan’s maverick innovative instrumental creations primarily for use in the broadcasting industry, which also double as a vehicle to showcase Aidan’s guitar virtuosity and composing talents.
All the music was recorded at House Of Fun Music in Bude town centre during the last 12 months, and CDs are available from this venue whilst stocks last. Rock Songs from Cornwall is available to download from iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and more. To find out more, visit facebook.com/TheNotoriousAidanB.
