BUDE Christmas Lights Committee is appealing for more volunteers.

The committee has been running for four years since taking over the running from the town's Chamber of Commerce. They hold various fundraising events — sponsored bag packing at Morrisons; quiz nights and coffee mornings — throughout the year to meet the costs of putting up the Christmas lights.

The four volunteers on the committee are looking for a few more people with new ideas to join the team.

Nick Gleed of the committee said: "We are 'doers' rather than talkers."
