A BUDE woman whose son was subjected to an unprovoked attack while on holiday in Greece is facing an uphill battle to try to get police to track down the culprits.

Annie Hamblin, says the Bude community has been "absolutely fantastic" in rallying around to bring James, a 21-year-old who is studying for a business degree, back home.

James' jaw is broken in two places a month after the attack in Faliraki — in which he was kicked and punched in the head and body — and he still has to drink through a straw. "A centimetre one way and it would have killed him," she explained.
