On Saturday March 20 seventeen members of Bude Tennis Club ran around the boundary of the six tennis courts seven times to complete their mile for Sports Relief. The time keeper had forgotten the stop watch so we're not sure if any records were broken!
After a short break and presentation of spot prizes, four rounds of the popular hurlingham tournament were played, until the cold wind drove everyone inside for refreshments. The total raised for Sport Relief came to £90.
The Club are hoping to encourage new members and are organising a doubles tournament, open to all businesses in Bude. If any business has not received details and would like to enter a team, call at the Club for information.
