Bude first team goalkeeper Gary Dinshaw is the first name to go on the newly donated George 'Tubby' Gilbert Memorial Trophy. 'Tubby' Gilbert, who passed away in the summer of 2008, was an avid supporter of the football club and ex-player and rarely missed a match, his motto being 'If I can get there, I'll be there!' Andrew 'Wizzer' Wise kindly donated the trophy to the club in memory of 'Tubby' and thought it would be fitting if the supporters could have their vote for Player of the Year. It was a very close call with just 1-2 votes splitting four players but Gary got that extra vote and was presented with the trophy during the recent home game against Lifton.
