BUDE-Stratton Town Council took consideration of a letter distributed by Cornwall Council regarding changes to the provision of public conveniences at their meeting last Thursday.

In the wake of budget cuts and increasing running costs, Cornwall Council is 'carrying out a comprehensive review of the public convenience service that it delivers'.

As part of this review, Cornwall Council is asking parish and town councils for feedback on behalf of their residents, so as to be able to better understand and suggest ways 'in which both authorities could, together, identify public conveniences where there is a strong rationale to do so'.

For the town council's opinion, see this week's edition of the 'Post'.
