FOLLOWING a meeting of the Bude Community CCTV Project (BCCP) committee it has been agreed that the project will continue for the time being.

After a presentation to Bude-Stratton Town Council by Chair of BCCP David Parsons, the council agreed to support the project with an immediate donation of £1,000 and a commitment to consider help with repair or replacement of the ageing equipment if that becomes necessary. They also agreed to look at funding for the future when they set a budget for next year.

The police force continue to be committed to support the project by providing a room, resources, insurance and officer time to help in monitoring the operation of the equipment. They also provide administrative support.
