THE Rotary Club of Bude held its Annual Charity Golf day on Sunday, August 7 at the Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club. Thirty-two teams of four took part in a Stableford competition with prizes for the top six teams and numerous nearest-the-pin holes sponsored by hotels and restaurants around Bude, even free 'refreshments' part-way round by a brewery! The golf club kindly donated the whole day for the benefit of Rotary charities. Professional photographs were taken and sold for the charity's funds. Thanks have been given to all the supporters, players, sponsors and the golf club. A total profit of £2,618 was raised. The runners-up team was Pete Greatbatch, Simon Greatbatch, Merve Hegarty and Ian Harrison.
