THE Prince's Trust team in Bude are appealing for donations to help them carry out their projects over the next couple of weeks.
The Bude group consists of 14 people aged between 16 and 25, and is run by the Torridge Training Services. The course helps youths to build their confidence as a team, and be more respectable for themselves and others.
Over the next three weeks the Prince's Trust members are choosing and carrying out community projects in and around the Bude area.
Their first challenge is to make the Prince's Trust room more respectable and a better environment by decorating. This will involve painting to help the room become warmer, which will help not only the team but any future team to concentrate on their tasks and help them to look after the room better. They are appealing for donations of paint, protective clothing, old furniture, and possibly carpeting and lino flooring.
Their second project is to clean the beaches surrounding the Bude area, including Summerleaze, Crooklets and Widemouth Bay. Any equipment for cleaning the beaches would be welcomed and gladly accepted.
A group spokesperson said: "If you can help it will be greatly appreciated as it is the community which benefits from the projects."
If anyone can help, please contact Toby, the team leader, on 07595 206522, or contact the group at Unit 8a, Kings Hill Indistrial Estate, Bude, EX33 8QN.
