BUDE Music Society is delighted that Joo Yeon Sir has agreed to come to North Cornwall to treat everyone to what promises to be a memorable afternoon of music at Minstrels Music Centre, Canworthy Water, on Sunday.

Joo Yeon famously played Sir Karl Jenkins’ Cantata ‘Memoria for the Children on Aberfan’ last October at the Millenium Stadium on the anniversary of that tragic event.

She is winner of several prestigious international awards and has performed at major concert halls throughout the UK and at St James’ Palace, in the presence of HRH the Prince of Wales.

Described as ‘exuberant’ and with ‘oodles of personality’, Joo Yeon is often heard on Classic FM and has appeared live on BBC Radio 3.

Accompanied on the piano by Irina Andrievsky, Joo Yeon’s programme will include music by Grieg, Tchaikovsky and Britten, and is a concert not to be missed.

The concert will take place on Sunday, February 19 at 3pm. Admission is £13 at door, and students go free.
