AT THE Mixed and Veterans Pilot Gig Rowing Championships recently, Bude Pilot Gig Club won the Men's Vets Plate! The championships took place on the River Tamar, Saltash at the Caradon Pilot Gig Club, on Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17, with crews from all over the South West taking part. The weather on Saturday was not conducive to happy rowing but Bude's Mixed team fought valiantly against wind, rain and tide and took third place in the quarter finals.
