A MAN from Bude has reached the finals of the Pork Farms campaign, and may be in with a chance of winning a surprise Pop Up Party.
Britain’s unsung heroes will be celebrated this summer with a surprise Pop Up Party tour, set to appear at five secret locations in the UK. This nationwide campaign, led by pork pie manufacturers, Pork Farms, gives recognition to everyday heroes in the community, and is back for another year after its success in 2015.
Following over 100 nominations, Bude man, John Constable, who was nominated by his wife, Christine, for dedicating his time to look after her following an accident, is one of the lucky 25 finalists to be showcased across social media until the end of June in a bid to win a surprise Pop Up Party.
Christine said: “I broke my femur in November and John travelled 120 miles to visit me daily. After I left hospital, he cooked, cleaned and kept our business going, and as I started on physio, he encouraged me and helped me along.”
Kim Burgess, the head of Markets at Pork Farms, said: “We are thrilled to announce our top 25 after receiving some truly humbling and well-deserved nominations from all across the UK. We’ve had all kinds of nominations from proud family and friends, including a pork pie loving dog. We are now one step closer to finding our winners, who will receive a surprise Pop Up Party, completely on us!”
The five winners will be visited in their local area as part of the weeklong UK tour, from July 4 – 8. Winner will receive a free full party layout.
