A?BUDE man who admitted a charge ofdrink/driving has escaped disqualification.
The magistrates decided not to disqualify him for special reasons — namely that the "short distance such that defendant drove to park his car."
He was fined £170 and ordered to pay £85 Crown Prosecution Service costs and £15 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
The magistrates indicated that his guilty plea was taken into account when sentencing.
