Colin Danks from Bude recently embarked on a trek up Ben Nevis and raised just over £800 for the Acorns Children's Hospice, which has branches all over the country. Colin has expressed his thanks to all his clients (from the Colin Danks Hair Salon in Bude) and anyone else who sponsored him on his adventure. He said: "The weather conditions couldn't have been worse as the mountain threw everything at us, 80mph winds rain, hail and even a little snow storm on the summit! But every member of our party made it (although one was brought down by the mountain rescue service and spent the night in hospital with acute hypothermia). I personally raised just over £800, while the group as a whole were hoping to hit £4,000. Once again thank you so much for your generosity in what are difficult times."
