ONE lucky customer of Bude's Cornwall Hospice Care (CHC) has won £1,000 through the charity's lottery.

Beth Moore from Bude, visits the shop every week to buy a £1 lottery ticket as a way of supporting the hospice and was thrilled to be informed that she had won on Friday, May 18.

When asked what she might spend her winnings on, Beth said: "This is great timing, I'm visiting my son and daughter in Australia in four weeks time and this will be my spending money."

Beth, who has three children and seven grandchildren, sadly lost her husband to cancer 26 years ago.
