AN OCCUPATIONAL therapist from Bude was recently invited to present at British Association of Occupational Therapists and College of Occupational Therapists' 37th National Annual Conference, held in Glasgow this year.
Louise Denby-Smith, aged 41, wanted a career change following her first degree and work as a sports therapist and lifeguard.
She said: "I became interested in occupational therapy when I found that certain occupations — especially triathlon, surfing and photography — helped me to work towards recovery from a severe and chronic illness."
