THERE was confusion in Bude recently after the town’s Homeleigh Garden Centre store handed out receipts claiming Bude was in Devon!

Customers took to social media to share their confusion.

A spokesperson from Homeleigh Garden Centre, which also has a store in Launceston, said: “This was a printing mistake made by the till providers when they set up the new tills.

“They took ‘EX23’ to be a Devon postcode.

“We are sorry for any upset this may have caused our customers and the residents of Bude.

“We are really proud to have taken on the garden centre and look forward to showcasing some of the great Cornish produce.”
