BUDE Pilot Gig Club was disappointed to discover damage had been caused to one of its boat shelters based at the Tamar Lakes last week — the second such incident in recent months.

After such a great season, with development of the club going from strength to strength the team were "gutted" to find a three metre section of their tarpaulin tunnel had been cut away.

A spokesperson said: "The first time the tunnel was targeted a two meter square section was removed which was bad enough but this last incident is so disappointing."
