MEMBERS of the Bude charity Exercising for Mobility travelled to St Austell and Lanivet to watch two of their trustees carry the Olympic Torch last weekend.
Seventy-two-year-old chairperson of the organisation Janet McCulley and 78-year-old treasurer Lilian Quinn both suffer with Parkinson's. Despite this, they lead full, active lives, and are involved in many voluntary organisation in the area.
They are certainly the best advert for the organisation, proving that exercise, backed up with determination, help to keep you mobile and enables you to retain independence for longer.
