JORDAN Anderton and his family in Bude held a fabulous fun filled evening tasting world wide wines and some rather smelly cheeses to raise funds for Cancer Research UK!

Jordan was diagnosed with a rare tissue cancer last summer and since recovering has been inspired to raise funds to help other teenage cancer sufferers like himself. The wine and cheese evening held at 'Chateau Victoria Road' had nearly 40 guests supporting the evening for Jordan's bigger project The Plymouth Relay for Life.

It was a wonderful way to spend a summers evening; not only did all supporters enjoy themselves trying to work out whether they were supping an Italian Merlot or New Zealand Pinot Noir, but raised just over £300 between them.

Local police constable Graeme Anderton and his partner Annie Creo, helped son Jordan and his brother Dan organise the event. Graeme said: "Jordan has inspired us so much with his bravery and determination to recover, and it is fantastic that he is on the fundraising committee for the Plymouth Relay for Life, which we are

supporting in every way we can.

"We could not have run this wine and cheese event without the support of local business who donated some wonderful wines and some interesting cheeses and would like to express out thanks to everyone in Bude who helped us."

The Relay for Life is a 24-hour fun walking event for teams, and Jordan has a Bude Crew attending! This event takes place on July 18 and 19 in Plymouth and his family say that it is Jordan's way of giving something back to those who have helped him so much.
