Residents in Bude are being invited to participate in a community action day and enjoy some Easter treats.

The event, organised by Cornwall Council, invites residents to meet in the Berries Avenue area of the town with the aim of giving the area a spring clean and spruce up.

Residents are invited to come together, help plant bulbs and help clean the area on Tuesday, April 4 between 10am and 2pm.

Carol Mould, portfolio holder for Neighbourhoods at Cornwall Council, said: “This is a great opportunity for local residents to come together, help plant bulbs and give the area a bit of spring clean. The event is being held during the school Easter holidays and we hope that families will come along and get involved. We welcome volunteers of all ages.

“It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills. They’ll also be some Easter eggs and treats available for the volunteers.”

Representatives from Bude Stratton Town Council, the Council’s Adult Social Care team, the Council’s rubbish and recycling team and Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service will also be on hand to meet with residents in the large park on Berries Avenue throughout the day.

Cllr Peter La Broy, local member for the area, said: “This is a chance for you to come and have your say and speak to representatives from a range of services and organisations who will be there to listen to you.

“I’ll be attending on the day and look forward to seeing you there.”
