CAMELFORD Fun Week is due to set off later this week, with a lot of hard work being involved to produce a variety of events for the entire community to to enjoy.
Highlight of the fun week will be a performance by Britain’s Got Talent star, Josh Curnow, who will appear at the Music in the Park finale.
The fun week starts on Saturday with a Spring Fayre and Dog Show, commencing at noon in Enfield Park. There will also be craft stalls, refreshments, a duck race, a dog show and much more available.
Sunday will see a Tug of War event, involving teams of six. On Monday, there will be a Beating of the Bounds event, which will start at 2pm at the entrance of Enfield Park for a brief history, prior to the walk, lasting two to three miles.
A Teddy Bear’s Picnic will take place next Tuesday at Enfield Park. To get involved, bring a teddy, a blanket and picnic, and come along for fun and games in the park. If the weather isn’t as it’s hoped for, the picnic will be held at the Liberal Club Function Room.
Next Wednesday, a Conservation Day starting at 10am, with a bird watch walk will be held. There will be activities on all day, finishing with a bat walk at 8.30pm.
A family bingo will take place on Thursday, June 2, which has been organised by Camelford Town Council and Camelford Brownies.
Friday, June 3 will see an afternoon tea for senior citizens, where they can enjoy delicious refreshments with the mayor, from 2pm until 4pm at Camelford Hall. Tickets are available at?Camelford Post Office.
Saturday, June 4 will bring the week to a close with a Fun Week Finale, with Music in the Park. The event will start at 3pm with the town band, and following this there will be other acts including a mixture of acts from Sir James Smith’s School, Sian Netherton, Boscastle Buoys and Josh Curnow from Britain’s Got Talent.
