A FUNDRAISING concert at St Teath Village Hall has raised more than £600 for Dementia UK.
The event was the brainchild of village resident Nicky Halford, whose niece, Rosie O'Sullivan, reached the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent.
Rosie, who lives in Birmingham, was 21 in December and a party was held to celebrate the occasion. But, her nan, and Nicky's mother, Audrey O'Sullivan, suffers from dementia and was unable to go.
Rosie wanted to do something for her nan and Nicky thought it would be the ideal opportunity to combine a visit to St Teath with a charity concert.
It was a successful night, with around 90 people packing into the village hall to hear Rosie sing.
Nicky said: "Everybody wants us to do it again. We might do something again later in the year. Rosie's very busy doing a lot of gigs in London and Birmingham but we probably will because it was a great success."
