THE National Trust’s second-hand bookshop in Boscastle is appealing for donations of books.

The National Trust’s second-hand bookshop, nestled by the river in Boscastle harbour, is a very popular destination for many visitors to the village as well as those who live locally. They offer a good variety of novels, from the latest crime and thrillers to the odd Poldark and Cornish-based books.

Other categories they have are travel guides, biographies, a children’s section, natural world and gardening — something for every taste.

But the bookshop really needs a constant supply of donations of all books, especially novels. The proceeds from each book sold goes directly to help with the National Trust’s conservation work in the local area.

So if you are thinking of a pre-Christmas clear out, whether it’s a handful or whole car-load, bring them down to the National Trust’s visitor centre any day of the week. They are open between 10.30am and 4pm. All donations will be gratefully received.
