800 adult dogs are needed to go walkies in Ross-on-Wye on Saturday, June 27th in an attempt to break the "Most dogs in one place wearing a bandana" record.

The Soi Dog Foundation, Thailand's leading dog and cat welfare charity, will be attempting to break the current Guinness World Record in the grounds of the Hope and Anchor Inn on June 27th. The attempt will be part of a fun day to raise funds for, and awareness of the charity, and will start at 10.30am, with the record attempt scheduled for 1pm.

One person who has already pledged to be there is charity supporter Lynnette Munoz who will be taking her dog, Billy Wonky Legs.

Billy was found in a gutter in Thailand with his brothers. He had malnutrition, congenital deformity of his back legs, distemper and a blood parasite. He has suffered badly, but with the help of a Thai friend who shared his story and the Soi Dog charity accommodating him until he was ready to travel, he was able to be saved.

Lynnette raised the funds to bring him back to the UK, which involved flights to Phuket and then to Heathrow. Now despite his back legs being badly deformed, he can get about and climbs the stairs and even tries running about on the Rope Walk grass. Lynette told the Ross Gazette: "He is a happy, friendly and adorable one year old little dog and a regular visitor to the Hope Treasures Tearoom."
