REPAIR work on a bridge near Launceston, has been condemned by a resident who claims it is 'unnecessary' and a 'waste of public money'.
Cornwall Council has closed Landlake Bridge, located just off Link Road, for six weeks while strengthening works are carried out.
Bob Ball, of Penworth Close, Launceston, believes that installing a weight limit on the bridge, which he claims is rarely used by heavy goods vehicles, could save thousands of pounds, as previously reported in the Post.
