NOMINATIONS for Camelford Mayor and Deputy Mayor were made at the April 21 meeting of the town council.
Only one nomination was received for the position for Mayor. Cllr Bob Ireland nominated Cllr Brian Lush to continue as Mayor, adding: "He has seen our town council through an awful lot of nasty times. I think he needs to be there for the next year."
Cllr Lush said he was willing to stand for one more year, but added that would be his last, as the post was very time consuming.
Two nominations were received for Deputy Mayor, a position which is currently held by Cllr John Pearce. Cllr Eddie McCormick nominated Cllr Ireland, and Cllr Lush nominated Cllr Pearce.
Cllr Andy Shaw asked for the vote to be taken on ballot. The vote will take place at the May town council meeting.
