THE Rotary Club of Camelford presented their 2010 Citizen of the Year Award to Brenda Burnard from Delabole. She was recognised for her services to fostering in the county. Over the last 28 years Brenda has cared for so many foster children that she has lost count. Many of the children, who can be of any age from newborn to teenagers, can arrive at a moments notice. Some of the children have had special needs and required a high level of care, some are with her for one night others long term. Brenda was also commended on her tireless work for various local and national charities and her contribution to the community of Delabole.
